1. General information
The subject will analyse different approaches and proposals on citizenship in order to achieve the following objectives: 1. Ability to understand, value and apply fundamental and equality rights and democratic values.
2. Ability to foster dialogue and communication.
3. Ease of engagement in daily life interests.
4. Aptitude to dialogue with others, with mental flexibility to appreciate different perspectives of the same problem.
These approaches and objectives are aligned with the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030Agenda (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/es/), such that the acquisition of the learning results provides training and competence to contribute to some extent to their achievement: Goals 4:, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 16.
2. Learning results
Understand different theories on citizenship in the history of philosophy.
Understand different concepts and theories, and know how to relate them to each other.
Be able to interpret philosophical texts that speak of citizenship and contextualize them in the tradition to which they belong.
Be able to analyse complex problems derived from coexistence and propose possible alternatives.
Know the complexity of the present society and argue the student´s own positions in the face of this complexity.
Value ethically and politically the possibilities that different social groups have and how life is made easier or more difficult for people belonging to these groups

5. Assessment system
FIRST CALL
1. Continuous assessment
The student must choose, in agreement with the teacher, a relevant philosophical work, whose reading will be reported weekly in tutorials.
2. Global assessment test.
Final test on the theoretical classes and monographic readings, where the acquisition of philosophical knowledge with an adequate understanding, the ability of exposition and argumentation and the ability to apply the knowledge to topics and diverse problems are assessed. The part referring to the theoretical classes will be worth 65%, while the part referring to the readings will be worth 35%
SECOND CALL
Global assessment test identical to the previous one.
Assessment criteria
Comprehension of ideas and degree of deepening:
- Degree of elaboration in the development of ideas.
- Use of reference materials.
- Use of original sources.
- Ability to relate ideas and problems.
- Deepening of the analysis.
Rigor, clarity, originality and maturity in the expression of ideas:
- Rigor and precision in the use of concepts.
- Grammatical and spelling correction.
- Coherent and organized text.
